Hi John,
Yes, same pack. In fact I’m using most of the same equipment as in 2010. I’ve had to replace some clothing, walking shoes, etc. but I basically just replaced them in kind. Now I have to start increasing the pack weight as at this point I’m carrying about 2/3 of what I would normally carry.

Another walers is https://www.facebook.com/christian.britain.3 who is walking for Help the Heros and sleeping rough to raise awarness for ex service men who end up on the streets . He set off from Blackpool Aug 2012 and going anticlockwise and is somewhere pass London now. His web page is on face book “Christian around britain” and so far had raised over 57K

The 125 days is the easy part … it’s the “without pay” bit that’s trickier. That said I need to formally request it and that part hasn’t happened yet.

Thanks very much for the offer to ship stuff. I’m hoping to make the move to digital maps this time around. As much as I love the paper ones it is a lot of expense and hassle and so I need to invest in a good alternative. More research is needed in that area. The Wales Coastal Path website provides 1:25,000 OS strip maps in PDF format for the entire walk so that is helpful. I’ve been using OS GetaMap to plot out my other routes.

We can definitely meet up for a Doom Bar or two … I have at least 125 to get through!
